Yes! Headwaters Therapy is located in a building with an elevator and has a wheelchair accessible washroom.
You are welcome to park in the parking lot at the back of the building or anywhere on the street where it is legal to do so.
You can cancel a session at no charge if you provide more than 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur the full session fee, as the timeslot cannot be offered to another client on short notice.
Many extended health benefit plans include coverage for counselling, but the specifics can vary. It’s a good idea to check with your benefits provider before beginning counselling to understand what services are covered and any requirements for reimbursement.
I do not offer direct billing for health benefits. Most clients submit the electronic receipt they receive after each session to their benefits provider for reimbursement.
You may pay for your session using a valid credit card, which you enter at the time of booking or by e-transfer.

Counselling or therapy is for anyone seeking support to navigate life's challenges, improve their emotional well-being, gain self-awareness, or work toward personal growth and fulfillment.
In your first session, you’ll be warmly welcomed and invited to get physically comfortable, with tea or water offered to help you settle in. We will review confidentiality and its limits, then spend time getting to know you, discussing what brought you to counselling, and exploring your goals for our work together. This session is also an opportunity to establish a safe and trusting space between you and Kelsey, setting the foundation for a supportive counselling relationship.
The frequency of counselling varies for each person. Some choose to attend regularly as part of ongoing self-care, while others prefer to come only when facing a specific challenge. We can discuss what approach feels right for you in our session and create a plan that best supports your needs and goals.
